Vlam tosti
Ingredients
Serves 4: 400 grams mixed ground meat, 1/2 onion, 8 slices of toast, 8 large slices of young cheese, Sriracha sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper
Preparation:
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Take a large skillet and cook the ground meat with the onion. You don’t need to use any oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Once the ground meat is cooked through, add 3 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce and a small pinch of smoked paprika. Turn off the heat and mix everything together.
Feel free to add more or less Sriracha sauce to taste!
Preheat your contact grill or croque monsieur machine.
When making the toasted sandwiches, we’ll place the ground beef mixture between two slices of young Beemster cheese. This way, the mixture melts slightly into the cheese and won’t fall out of the sandwich while you’re eating.
Place 4 slices of toast on a cutting board and top each slice with a thin slice of young cheese.
Then spread the ground meat mixture over the 4 slices, on top of the cheese.
Place another thin slice of cheese on top of the ground meat mixture and close the sandwiches.
If you like, you can spread butter on the outside of the sandwiches, but the cheese, the ground meat, and the accompanying sauce already provide plenty of fat.
Let the sandwiches cook slowly.
Cut the sandwiches diagonally in half and serve with a sauce.
